You are allowed to put out up to 2 garbage bags, containers  or small bundles of wood without tags. Any additional bags, containers or wood must have tags. As of September 16, 2002, only $1 garbage tags can be used on any bags or containers over the three bag standard. Extra bags or containers without the $1 tag will not be collected. [see below for locations to obtain tags]. Additional information is available from the Region of Peel in its revised Waste Collection Brochure, specifically the section on Curbside Collection Services which can be viewed here as a PDF file.
Pickup day in this area of Ward 2 for garbage, recycling, yard waste and appliances, etc. is on Tuesday.
Garbage should not be put out on the curb before 7:00 p.m. on Monday. However, to prevent raccoons and other wildlife from tearing garbage bags, please wait until Monday morning to put garbage to the curb.
Appliance pickup must be arranged one week in advance by calling the Region of Peel Wasteline at (905) 791-9499. A fee of $15 for the first item and $10 for each additional item applies.
Bulky items, such as furniture, rugs, televisions, microwave ovens, and mattresses, may be put out for regular pickup on your regular collection day.

All household hazardous waste, such as barbecue propane tanks, full or partially full paint cans, pesticides, motor oil, or anything toxic, corrosive, flammable or explosive, must be taken to one of Peel’s Public Waste & Recycling Depots.
