The
Birch Glen Residents' Association represents approximately 340 households in the Birch
Glen neighbourhood in the Clarkson/Lorne Park are of Mississauga, comprising the following
streets: Andros Blvd., Ithaca Court, Kos Blvd., Lefkas Court, Nesdale Court, Silver Birch
Trail, Zante Crescent and Johnson's Lane. The represented area is located on the north side of
Lakeshore Road West, bordered by Birchwood Park on the west and the main CN Lakeshore Rail
Line on the north. The neighbourhood is located within the prestigious Lorne Park school
district.
This
association is among the most active ratepayers' associations within Mississauga's Ward 2.
Members have participated in discussion groups on such issues as the proposed Sithe gas-fired
generating plant, and sit on focus groups, steering committees and public liaison committees dealing with
specific issues relating to the Clarkson/Lorne Park community, such as:
